Polish-Ukrainian military cooperation - traditions and prospects
The Mieroszewski Centre, in cooperation with the Polish Embassy in Kyiv, is organising a conference on key aspects of military cooperation between Poland and Ukraine.
The main objective of the conference ‘Polish-Ukrainian military cooperation - traditions and perspectives’ will be to analyse the military relations between the two countries. Politicians, diplomats, security policy experts and historians will comprehensively discuss the opportunities and challenges facing Poland and Ukraine in security and defence matters and will also look at these issues from a historical perspective
The conference will begin with a discussion of senior politicians from Poland and Ukraine on the current challenges of effectively countering Russian aggression. This will be followed by data on the scale of Poland's military assistance to Ukraine, as well as the results of surveys on Polish public opinion attitudes towards Ukraine and Ukrainians. The conference will also feature three panel discussions on strategic aspects of Polish-Ukrainian military cooperation, the role of cooperation between Poles and Ukrainians for European security, and lessons that can be learned from the past.
