Protection of personal data

  1. By using the website of the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue the user visiting these pages accepts the content of this Privacy Policy. 
  2. The Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue pays significant attention to respecting the privacy of all users visiting its websites. It is important for the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue that each user of these websites knows what kind of data is collected and how to protect his/her privacy.
  3. The websites of theJuliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue contain links to other websites. Not being the administrators of such websites, the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue does not take any responsibility for the Privacy Policies of such websites, however, it is recommended that when accessing such website, the user should read its Privacy Policy and thus make a conscious decision to use such website.

When a user visits the websites of the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue, the servers automatically download and save anonymous information concerning the service user, such as: the number of visits, country from which the connection was made, time of the visit, computer IP address, URL address, and the Internet browser used.

The collected personal data, referred to in section 4, is used as a resource material for the administration of the websites of the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue and is disclosed only to persons authorized to administer the server and IT network. The Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue analyses the collected personal data referred to in section 4, by means of the Google Analytics system operating with the use of so-called cookies.
  6. Cookies are small-sized text files automatically sent to the Internet user's device (computer, smartphone) by the website visited by the user. They allow the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue to create anonymous service statistics, thanks to which it is possible to recognise the expectations of the website users and develop these websites in such a way that would better respond to the expectations of the users visiting them. 
  7. Web browsers automatically enable storing cookies on the user's computer or smartphone. However, it is possible to block this mechanism. It is simply a matter of choosing the option of rejecting cookies in your browser. However, bear in mind that some functions of the website may not work properly then.
  8. The "Add This" service can be used on the websites of the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue. This service enables the transfer of information to social networking sites. The Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue when processing personal data of users visiting the website of theJuliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue, shall comply with the provisions on personal data protection, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Official Journal of the EU L 119 of 4 May 2016, p. 1), hereinafter referred to as "GDPR", and the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (Official Journal of the EU L 119 of 4 May 2016, p. 1).
  10. The personal data referred to in section 4 is processed in connection with the performance of tasks carried out in the public interest, including in connection with the statutory tasks referred to in the Act of 25 March 2011 on the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue (The Official Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland of 2016, item 494, as amended), on the basis of Article 6 (1) points (a), (c) or (e) of the GDPR.
  11. The personal data referred to in section 4 will be stored for the period of the functioning of the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue.
  12. The recipients of personal data referred to in section 4 shall be entities having, on the grounds of provisions of universally binding law on the territory of the Republic of Poland, the right to request access to these data, entities providing postal, payment, IT or telecommunication, and legal and debt collection services to the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue.

  15. In connection with the processing of personal data referred to in section 4, the data subject is entitled to:
  16. 1)     demand from the personal data controller the access to the personal data, their rectification, erasure or restriction of processing and the right to object to the processing, as well as the right to data portability;

    2)     withdraw his/her consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing which was carried out based on consent before the withdrawal;

    3)     lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority as defined by the GDPR, i.e. the  President of the Personal Data Protection Office;

    4)     contact the Data Protection Officer at the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue in all matters related to the processing of personal data.

    16. The disclosure of personal data referred to in section 4 is voluntary, yet necessary for the use of websites operated by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue.

    17. Personal data of users visiting the websites of the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue may also be collected by providing them in the registration forms, including e-mail address in the newsletter registration form, or in contact forms. In such a case, the user shall be provided with information that meets the requirements of the GDPR, including information on who is the administrator of personal data, for what purpose and on what basis personal data is collected and information on the rights of the data subject.

    18. Taking into account the development and changes in digital technology the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue shall reserve the right to change the above Privacy Policy.

The Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue with its registered seat in Warsaw, 14/16A Jasna Street, 00-041 Warsaw, pursuant to the Article 13 (1) and (2) of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Journal of Laws of the EU L 119 of 04.05.2016, p. 1, as amended), hereinafter referred to as "GDPR", and Articles 3-5 of the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (Journal of Laws, item 1000, as amended), hereby presents the following information:

3. Personal data is collected by automated means in the process of using the websites administered by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue (saved in cookies) and by logging in by users visiting the websites of the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue. Personal data is also collected from the person to whom the personal data refers, based on that person's consent, including the consent expressed impliedly.

4. Personal data shall mean any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. In case of using websites administered by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue, personal data include in particular: name and surname, residential address, e-mail address, login, password, IP address or telephone number.

5. Personal data will be processed for the purpose of:

1) the use of the services provided by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue and the performance of its statutory tasks by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue, based on consent (point (a) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR);

2) conducting educational and informational activities, including the distribution of invitations to meetings, conferences and events organised by the  Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue, based on consent (point (a) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR);

3) the recruitment processes conducted by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue carried out on the grounds of announcements published on the website of the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue, based on consent (point (a) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR);

4) fulfilling the legal obligations of the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue based on the provisions of the universally binding law on the territory of the Republic of Poland, as the processing is necessary for the fulfilment of these obligations by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue (point (c) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR);

5) archival (evidence) purposes to secure information in case of legal need to provide facts, establish, investigate or defend against claims, as the processing is necessary for the realisation of legitimate interests of Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue (point (f) of Article 6(1) of the GDPR).

6. The recipients of personal data may be:

1) entities having, on the grounds of  provisions of universally binding law on the territory of the Republic of Poland, the right to request access to these data;

2) entities providing postal, payment, IT or telecommunication, and legal and debt collection services to the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue.

7. The personal data controller does not provide for the transfer of personal data to a third country or international organisation, except for justified cases related to the implementation of obligations under international agreements or regulations arising from European Union law.

8. Personal data shall be stored:

1) in the case referred to in section 5 point (1) and (2), for the period of functioning of the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue, in regard to the data, and after the lapse of this period, until the moment specified in the administrative and archival regulations to which the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue is obliged to comply;

2) in the case referred to in section 5 point (3), until the completion of the recruitment process, and then promptly deleted;

3) in the case referred to in section 5 point (4), until the fulfilment of legal obligations by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue;

4) in the case referred to in section 5 point (5), until the facts lose their legal significance, or until the lapse of limitation period against theJuliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue regarding the processing of personal data by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue

9. The data subjects’ shall be entitled to:

1) demand from the personal data controller the access to the personal data, their rectification, erasure or restriction of processing and the right to object to the processing, as well as the right to data portability;

2) lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority as defined by the GDPR, i.e. the  President of the Personal Data Protection Office;

3) contact the Data Protection Officer at the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue in all matters related to the processing of personal data.

10. In case of personal data processing referred to in section 5 points (1-3), the data subject shall be entitled to withdraw his/her consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing which was carried out based on consent before the withdrawal.

11. The condition for using the websites administered by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue is to express a voluntary and unrestricted consent to the processing of personal data according to the provisions of the universally binding law,  including the GDPR.

12. Should the websites administered by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue be used by a minor or a person without a full capacity to perform acts in law, it is necessary to express consent to the processing of personal data of this person by a parent, statutory representative other than a parent  or legal guardian.

13. If the consent to the processing of personal data is expressed impliedly, the data subject is referred to the information concerning the principles of personal data processing by the Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue as well as the rights of the data subjects, available on the website (tab "Information on the processing of personal data").

14. The Juliusz Mieroszewski Centre for Dialogue does not provide for automated decision making with regard to the persons whose personal data are concerned.
