How does the Kremlin indoctrinate students?
According to data from the ‘Agentstvo’ website, each school in Russia will devote almost 1,500 class hours to propaganda activities.
As part of a new subject that has become a permanent feature of the education system in Russia, students will be introduced to content designed to indoctrinate the nation and shape attitudes in line with government expectations. The Russian education system has been transformed to emphasise patriotism and loyalty to the state, and lessons contain many ideological elements. The Kremlin wants to bring up a citizen who is ruthlessly obedient and loyal to the authorities.
