The Mieroszewski Centre organises conferences to support researchers, promoting historical knowledge and international scientific exchange.

Conferences and seminars

The mission of the Mieroszewski Centre is to carry out large-scale activities aimed at the peoples of Central and Eastern Europe to strengthen their independence.

The Centre is active in the research and academic sphere, including organising and conducting scientific research, supporting researchers from Poland and abroad in their work, and organising various scientific events. They are addressed to a wide range of people interested in the history, politics, international relations and culture of the Central and Eastern European region.

What are the aims of the conferences organised by the Mieroszewski Centre?

The Mieroszewski Centre is a state legal entity established by law and supervised by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. One of the pillars of its activities is to conduct and support educational activities, which is realised, inter alia, through the organisation of conferences, political debates, seminars and lectures.

All events held under the Centre's auspices are thematically linked to its statutory activities - they concern, inter alia, history, international relations, politics and are related to the broadly understood heritage of the nations of Central and Eastern Europe. The Mieroszewski Centre's conferences aim to disseminate historically accurate knowledge confirmed in sources, to familiarise participants with the latest achievements of Polish and foreign researchers, and to provide them with a space to present the results of their scholarly work to a wide audience.

Conferences and debates also provide participants with the space to freely exchange views and share their knowledge and thoughts. They also provide participants with an opportunity to meet personally researchers from Poland and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe who are involved in their scientific activities and to make new valuable scientific acquaintances.

What topics are discussed at the Mieroszewski Centre conferences?

Each of the conferences organised by the Mieroszewski Centre focuses on a specific topic. They are presented to participants by esteemed researchers whose scientific work is focused around the leading theme of the event.

The lectures, presentations and discussions that take place during the event give the audience the opportunity to fully explore a given issue, learn about current research results, and look at a given topic from different perspectives. Participants also have the opportunity to take part in discussions on the issues raised during the conference and to present their point of view.

For the participating scientists and researchers, such events are a unique opportunity to integrate the scientific community and to make themselves known in the international scientific arena. The conferences of the Mieroszewski Centre support committed academics, researchers and social activists from the CEE region, who aim to conduct objective scientific research and share their findings.
