Ukrainians capture Russian territories. Does the Kremlin not know how to react?

Since the beginning of August, Ukraine's wide-ranging offensive has included operations on Russian territory.

Ukrainian forces claim to now control some 1,150 km² of captured areas. Of particular interest is the situation in the Kursk region, where Ukrainian troops are stepping up attacks, creating tension and uncertainty in the region. Many people are asking themselves what is happening now in Russia and how these events are affecting Russian society. By attacking the Kursk region, does Ukraine have a real chance of changing the mood among Russians and undermining support for the current authorities?
