Ukrainian opinion leaders in Poland 2025
The Academy of Journalism of Central and Eastern Europe is an initiative of Press Club Polska, organized in cooperation with the Mieroszewski Centre.
The project was created for young journalists from the region who want to develop their skills, strengthen independent media, and draw on the experience of Polish newsrooms built over the past 35 years of democracy.
During a week-long stay in Lublin, participants work with renowned Polish reporters, editors, and media experts. Each day combines intensive workshops with evening sessions that foster open discussion and networking. The program includes, among others:
- journalistic independence and media transparency
- reportage and storytelling when working with trauma survivors
- interviews and relations between politicians and journalists
- international investigations, OSINT, and new technologies in journalism
- countering disinformation
- mutual perceptions of Poland and Ukraine in public debate
The Academy is part of the broader activities of the Mieroszewski Centre, which has been organizing study visits for journalists from Eastern Europe for years. These initiatives allow participants not only to enhance their professional skills but also to gain a deeper understanding of Poland and establish lasting professional connections.
