The Neighbourhood Trialogue is a unique school that brings together participants from Poland, Belarus and Ukraine.
Neighbourhood Trialogue is an international autumn school for young people from Poland, Ukraine, and Belarus who want to better understand Central and Eastern Europe — its history, contemporary challenges, and the relationships between neighbouring societies.
This is not a traditional academic programme or a series of lectures. Trialogue is a space for conversation, analysis, and the exchange of different perspectives.
Over several intensive days, participants work with experts, researchers, public policy practitioners, and people actively engaged in regional affairs. Together, they discuss how memory conflicts emerge, how propaganda mechanisms operate, how to analyse reality without oversimplifications, and how to build dialogue in a world shaped by tensions.
The programme combines:
- expert knowledge,
- workshops and discussions,
- networking and exchange of experiences,
- conversations beyond the classroom.
The school will take place in the Lublin region from 20–25 September 2026.
We invite applicants aged 18–35 from Poland, Ukraine, and Belarus (Belarusians living outside Belarus). The programme is designed for students, activists, young researchers, journalists, and socially engaged individuals.
Participation in the programme is free of charge — the Mieroszewski Centre covers accommodation, meals, educational materials, and travel costs up to 300 EUR.
