HUMBUG. Ready-made lessons on fake news – lesson plans for teachers

The topic of disinformation is appearing in schools more and more often. Students bring information from the internet, ask questions, and start discussions – and teachers are left with the need to guide conversations they often don’t have time to prepare for.

It’s a challenging area. On one hand, it’s important; on the other, it requires confidence and tools that actually work in the classroom.

That’s why these lesson plans on disinformation were created as part of the HUMBUG project. They were developed by teachers during workshops and tested in real classroom settings — with students, during lessons, in different schools.

These are not materials to simply read through. They are practical lesson ideas you can take and use right away.

Each lesson plan guides you step by step through the class – including activities, questions for students, examples, and tips to help you lead the lesson, even if you don’t feel like an expert on disinformation.

You can use the full lesson plan or just selected parts of it – without additional preparation and without starting from scratch.

This is support designed to make your work easier, not more complicated.
