From 1 to 8 October, under the motto "TOGETHER-BETTER", one could participate in the 11th Festival of Independent Belarusian Culture in Wrocław.

The mission of the Mieroszewski Centre is to build dialogue between Polish society and the Belarusian diaspora living in our country. For this reason, the Centre prepared two events during the Festival.

On Sunday, 1 October, at 7 p.m., we invited the Piekarnia Performing Arts Centre to the performance AUGUST by the BY theatre collective. The performance, from the perspective of an ordinary Belarusian family, refers to the protests following the rigged 2020 elections.

The second event invited by the Centre was a debate entitled Poles about Belarusians, Belarusians about Poles. The starting point for the discussion was an opinion poll - conducted by the Mieroszewski Centre - analysing mutual perceptions of Poles and Belarusians living in Poland. The discussion took place at the European Parliament Office in Wrocław on 6 October at 17:00.
