The programme of the conference Education in the Service of Remembrance of the Victims of the Katyn Massacre consists of three panels, each presenting different educational activities aimed at nurturing the memory of the victims of the NKVD crime in 1940.

The first panel, entitled Pro Memoria - the challenges of modern education, will begin with a demonstration history lesson, after which representatives of various institutions will talk about their experiences in disseminating the history of the Katyn Massacre.

In the second panel, The Mills of Time - Stories of Katyn Heroes through the Eyes of the Young, presentations will be given by students who have won prizes in Katyn historical competitions organised by the Parafiada Association. The papers will be devoted to contexts and interpretations of the Crime, as well as to specific people who were murdered by the NKVD.

The third panel - closing the conference - will consist of representatives of the "Guardians of Memory", i.e. families and descendants of the Katyn Heroes who experienced the consequences of the Katyn Massacre first-hand.
