Participants of the Polish-Russian Translation School ‘Words on Words’ have the opportunity to learn the full process of translator's work, starting from the selection of a suitable text for translation and searching for sources of funding, through thorough analysis and editing of their own translations, to understanding the legal aspects related to translator's work and establishing contacts with publishing houses.
Our ‘Words for Words’ workshops not only allow you to acquire solid theoretical knowledge, but also enable you to put it into practice immediately. Through intensive workshop work, participants have the opportunity to systematically improve their skills under the guidance of master translators and specialists from Poland and Russia.
The programme includes two-day meetings, which are divided into two parts. The first includes lectures by experienced translators, editors, publishers and experts who will share their knowledge and experience. The second part is practical workshop work, during which participants will analyse and improve their translations.
The final outcome of the participants' work is a publication, which will allow them not only to gain valuable experience, but also to establish themselves on the literary translation market.
