Polihistor

The most common question asked of historians? ‘But what was it really like?’ In ‘Polihistor’ - the Centre's programme on YouTube - historian Bartek Gajos asked top experts on Poland and Russia about, among other things, why Catherine II was afraid of the Polish revolution, whether Poland could have avoided the Second World War, why the Soviets only carried out their aggression on 17 September, and to what end the Kremlin invests millions of roubles in history projects.

Polihistor was an original history programme on the Mieroszewski Centre's YouTube channel, where the host, Bartłomiej Gajos, introduced viewers to the depth of historical issues concerning Poland and Russia. In his episodes, the host asked well-known experts about key moments in the history of both nations.

Each episode of Polihistor is enriched by the perspective of experts - historians, political scientists, and researchers who share their knowledge and unique interpretations. This allows viewers to gain a deeper understanding of both well-known and lesser-known aspects of history.

We encourage all history enthusiasts, students, teachers and anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of the past and its impact on the present to watch the episodes of Polihistor.
