Autumn School Neighbourhood Trialogue 2024

The aim of the autumn school ‘Neighbourhood Trialogue’ is to strengthen relations between the three neighbouring nations through learning, exchange of experiences and constructive dialogue about their common, often complicated history and contemporary challenges.

The autumn school ‘Neighbourhood Trialogue’ is a step towards understanding the relations between Poland, Ukraine and Belarus, offering a unique opportunity to discover the common history of these three countries.

The school offers a unique opportunity to participate in activities conducted in three languages: Polish, Ukrainian and Belarusian.

The small group of participants ensures individual attention and the opportunity to actively participate in discussions and practical workshops.

The programme includes not only theoretical lectures, but also the analysis of real cases and practical workshops to enable the application of acquired knowledge in practice.

The Mieroszewski Centre provides accommodation, meals, participation in lectures and seminars, supporting materials and transport.

The school's programme focuses on the analysis of key issues in international relations, history, law and politics. Participants take part in interdisciplinary lectures, workshops and discussions that help them better understand the mechanisms of international cooperation, the recognition of disinformation and the resolution of neighbouring historical disputes. The programme also covers issues related to the responsibility of nations for the actions of governments and the ethical and legal aspects of international politics.

Interactive learning

During the school, participants have the opportunity to learn practical skills such as statistical data analysis and logical argumentation techniques. Learning how to think critically and how to convince policy makers on the basis of factual arguments is also an important element. The school places a strong emphasis on open discussion and exchange of views between participants from different countries, which fosters mutual understanding.

Language and international environment

One of the unique elements of the Autumn School ‘Neighbourhood Trialogue’ is the possibility to communicate in three languages: Polish, Ukrainian and Belarusian. This allows participants to communicate in their native languages, which encourages the free exchange of ideas and experiences. This is a unique opportunity to develop skills in an international environment and build lasting relationships between participants from neighbouring countries.

The Autumn School ‘Neighbourhood Trialogue’ is an excellent opportunity to learn, cooperate and build bridges between nations that share a difficult history but have a common future.
