From 21-24 October, a study visit of Polish opinion leaders took place in Kyiv.
This was another event organised in Ukraine by the Mieroszewski Centre in cooperation with the Ukrainian Institute. Journalists from leading Polish editorial offices participated in meetings at, among others, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kyiv, the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Another study visit this year is also intended to enhance information security in the context of preventing disinformation and creating an accurate picture in the Polish media environment about the current situation in Ukraine. This translates into more balanced coverage in the media, on which lies the task of forming public opinion.
What did one of the participants say after the visit?
Thanks to direct access to information and dialogue with Ukrainian partners, Polish journalists return home not only with a deeper understanding of the situation, but also with the inspiration to reliably present events in the Polish media space. Polish-Ukrainian relations gain solid foundations and Polish public opinion receives a more comprehensive, more genuine picture of the situation of our eastern neighbours.
